Use Your Own Design: Turn a Canva, Adobe Express, or Evite Invite Into an RSVP Invitation
Already made your invitation in Canva, Adobe Express, or Evite? Upload the image, let AI fill in the event details, and get a shareable invitation with RSVP tracking in minutes.
You spent an evening getting the invitation just right in Canva. Or you picked a card in Adobe Express, or designed one on Evite, a printed card, or another app. The design is done. What's missing is everything after it: a link to send, a way for guests to RSVP, and one place to see who's coming.
With Use your own design, you don't have to start over. Upload the image you already have, and Ainviter turns it into a live invitation with RSVP tracking built in.
What "Use Your Own Design" Does
Most invitation tools make you pick between their templates and your own work. Here, your upload becomes the first version of the invitation, exactly as you made it. Nothing is regenerated, and no watermark is added.
From there you get the same features as an AI-generated design:
- A shareable invitation page guests open from any device, with no account needed
- RSVP tracking with guest counts, responses, and messages to the host
- Sharing by link, text, email, or a printable QR code
- AI edits whenever you want them, like changing the date, swapping colors, or adding a photo
Where Your Design Can Come From
If you can save it as an image, you can use it:
- Canva: open your design, choose Share β Download, and pick PNG or JPG
- Adobe Express: use Download and choose PNG or JPG
- Evite, Paperless Post, and other invite sites: save the card image, or take a clean screenshot of the design
- Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Procreate: export the final artboard as PNG or JPG
- A printed card: photograph it flat, in good light, straight on
Uploads can be PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 5 MB.
How It Works
1. Choose Use your own design. On the homepage, below the chat box, tap Use your own design and upload your image. You can start before creating an account.
2. Let AI read your invitation. Ainviter reads the text on your design (the event name, date, time, and location) and fills it into the chat box for you.
3. Check the details and send. Fix anything the AI missed, add details that aren't on the card, and send. Ainviter asks only for what it still needs, like a date if your design doesn't show one. It won't ask about styles or colors, because your design already answers that.
4. Get your invitation. Your design appears as version 1 of the invitation, with the event details and RSVP section set up below it.
5. Share and track. Send the link however you like, and watch responses come in on your dashboard.
Keep Editing With AI
Your uploaded design is a starting point, not a locked file. Once it's version 1, you can keep going in the chat:
- "Change the date to Saturday, June 14"
- "Make the background a soft blush pink"
- "Add our family photo in the corner"
- "Make the title text bigger and gold"
Each change creates a new version, so you can always go back to the one you uploaded.
Your Own Design vs. a Reference Photo
Ainviter supports two ways to start from an image, and they do different things:
- Use your own design keeps your image as the invitation. Choose this when the design is finished and you just need RSVPs and sharing.
- Reference photos use an image as inspiration for a new AI design. Choose this when you like a look but want something original. See How to Turn a Reference Photo Into an Invitation.
Tips for the Best Result
- Export at full size. A sharp, high-resolution image looks better on phones and when printed with a QR code.
- Keep the key details on the design. The name, date, and location on the card help AI fill in your event for you, and they're what guests see first in link previews.
- Leave the RSVP details off. Guests respond with a button below the design, so there's no need to print a phone number or email on the card.
- Crop out extra space. Trim borders, screen edges, or app toolbars from screenshots so only the invitation remains.
